Inspired by the greatest symbols of Mexico, Torre México rises along one of the capital’s most important avenues with a unique and sophisticated design. The “X” cross, chosen as the main element of the architectural and structural design, is the foremost symbol of Mexican excellence.
Inspired by the Codex Mendoza, which depicts the foundation of Tenochtitlán (Mexico City), the “X” highlights the space-time insularity of the Mexica people. At its center, an eagle perched on a cactus devouring a snake marks the place where the gods indicated that the Aztec city should be built.
The façade draws on the most significant elements of the Mexican National Emblem, the feathers of the eagle and the skin of the snake.
